baby.

I will preface this post with everything is fine and healthy with the baby.

Friday afternoon however I was admitted to labor and delivery at St. Mark's Hospital where they monitored the baby for a couple of hours and ran a strip test on me to see if I was leaking amniotic fluid. For the last couple of weeks I was having symptoms of leaking fluid and leaking amniotic fluid in pregnancy, you can probably guess is not a good thing. But...alas...all is well and I was sent home a couple of hours later in good condition...it seems this baby already has a wonderful knack of stressing his/her mommy and daddy out and he/she isn't even born yet!!

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend....xoxo

baby.

Officially I am 6 months pregnant today...and I noticed that I officially can no longer see my feet when I am standing up. Hmmmm....it's a good thing I love being pregnant otherwise that might also affect my mood.

dear. winter.

please go away...don't get me wrong, I do love you Mr. Winter, I love the snow and the beauty of it but lately you are so dark and dreary that you are affecting my mood and you aren't producing much snow at this point anyway so, what is your point? I want to see the sun, the blue skies, I want to see Spring bloom it's little head...come back next year and bring lots of snow but for now let's call it good....and just say goodbye.

love. this.

I came across these scarves and I love them! Perfect for Spring and Summer, aren't they beautiful? I think I want one in teal or purple. I believe that they are also coming out with a red color very soon that will help benefit the people of Haiti. So when you purchase a red scarf through them - the company is called Uniform Natural, a certain amount of the proceeds goes towards Haiti!! Feeling good and making a difference while we shop! Love it!

sledding

Today we went up to Park City to Gorgoza Park to take Jack tubing. We have taken him sledding before but just to parks around our house and much smaller hills. The weather down here was great but as we neared the canyon - wow - did it ever change. Snow dumping everywhere...so it made for quite an adventure on the mountain. Jack loved it, it did take him about 2x to get used to going down the mountain and being pulled by the rope but once he did he didn't want to stop! It was so much fun watching him have such a good time. After tubing we went to the warming tent and drank some hot coco, I think we all had a great time!

If you want to see images bigger on this blog - just take your mouse and click on the photo itself and it will bring it up much larger so you can see these photos better!! Blogger tip of the day!

my love of horses

I took these photos last year of some wild mustangs at the stables where I ride every Summer. I can't wait to go back and start riding again....minus the accident I had last year!! = 0
I blew some of these up and framed them for our bedroom.

jack + daddy conversation

Jack: "Daddy, sing "pink bus"
Daddy: "Instead of "wheels on the bus" you want "wheels on the pink bus?"
Jack: "Yes"
Daddy: "The wheels on the bus go round and round....."
Jack: "NO, DADDY! Pink bus!"
Daddy: "The wheels on the PINK bus go round and round...."
Jack: "Yes, Daddy! Like that."

Hmmmmmmmmmmm..................

having hope

Keep hoping and praying for the people of Haiti...I feel so blessed to have my health, my family, to be surrounded by so many people that I love and care about. There are thousands in Haiti that aren't as lucky as you or I...how would it be to not know whether your child was alive...to not know if your parents were OK...to wonder the streets without a home...food...water....it breaks our hearts. I was watching the news today...maybe many of you saw that they pulled a child from the rubble after 8 days alive....8 days and he was alive! With all the devastation and heartache there are stories of hope like that. It's nothing short of a miracle...let's keep praying for more stories like this...let's keep having hope...

jacks 3rd birthday

This past weekend we celebrated Jack's 3rd birthday, hard to believe that our little boy is 3 years old. You parents who are reading this know exactly what I mean...where does the time go? We opted for a little party at the house with just family and Jack's little friends and their parents.
Jack got his first tricycle from Grandma and Grandpa and I must say he was SUPER excited!! We just had to go out in the snow and try it out that very next day. Thank you to everyone for the great gifts Jack received, he loves them all!

a new year. a new start.

Looks like we are hopping back on the blogging wagon. We had a blog through Mac but stopped posting last Spring...life got busy and other things took precedence. But slowly over time I have come to miss it so we will see how this goes! Another blog for another new year!! I'm hoping I can update it frequently...with all kinds of fun things....our family, life, world affairs, style, design, photography...really whatever comes to mind is what I want this blog to be about! So enjoy and please leave comments for us!!
