wow. I feel like I'm slowly coming back down to reality...We have been relishing in baby Alex and Jack, it's been wonderful. I think Alex has been smothered with kisses and hugs and I even think he has had a few tears fall on his face out of pure happiness from Mike and I getting teary eyed just looking at him. Part of the joy that I think Mike and I are experiencing is watching Jack be such a great big brother to Alex. It's just adorable to watch how gentle he is with him and when Jack wakes up in the morning he often says...."where is baby Alex...ahhhhhh, I miss him Ma." Then he walks over and gives him a kiss. Jack is also the first to soothe Alex if he starts crying, he frantically drops whatever he is doing and runs over to Alex and starts patting his head ever so softly and starts singing to him. A lullalby that I don't really know where he learned but he puts his own tune to it. "Rock a bye baby, baby, babyyyyyyyyy. Rock babyyyyyyyyyyy." It's adorable.
So things are good, two kids is a big adjustment from one. I won't lie there, everything my friends had said was true that it's a big difference, however we are loving every minute of it.
Here are a couple more photos from Alex's first couple weeks of life...
